The CASC operates as an innovative, ‘one-stop shop’, where probation clients can meet with their probation officers and then walk downstairs to receive immediate services.

Job Description

8435 Division Director, Adult Probation

The San Francisco Adult Probation Department (SFAPD) is dedicated to supporting justice-involved adults through personalized services that empower them to permanently exit the criminal justice system. Recognizing the diverse challenges faced by individuals, SFAPD provides a combination of reentry programs and rehabilitative services designed to complement supervision strategies. By integrating accountability with opportunity, SFAPD fosters public safety, promotes victim restoration, and supports evidence-based practices to help clients become productive members of the community.

As a second-level management position within the department, the Division Director, Adult Probation, plays a critical role in overseeing the administrative planning and coordination of divisional operations. Reporting directly to the Assistant Chief and/or Chief Adult Probation Officer, the Division Director provides leadership, supervises teams, and ensures compliance with court orders and legal requirements. This role demands a high level of professionalism, autonomy, and expertise in evidence-based practices and community supervision trends.
