Provider Solutions within McKesson’s US Pharmaceutical (USP) Segment is seeking to accelerate the impact and outcomes of our businesses by bringing on a Strategy and Intelligence Analyst.
Position Description
The Provider Strategy and Operations team is an internal advisory organization that supports business partners through functional and go-to-market initiatives to pull through our strategic imperatives of growth, optimization and innovation across BUs.
The Strategy and Intelligence Analyst will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of McKesson’s specialty business units through a combination of developing robust strategies to meet evolving market trends, and creating and managing complex analytics solutions to enhance our understanding and actionability of our recommendations. This role combines the consulting mindset with the analytics capability that transform ideas into outcomes. Partnering closely with cross functional stakeholders and business leaders, you will be responsible for driving outcomes and the creation of value to both McKesson and our customers through the successful execution of the programs you lead. Our team conducts projects related to evaluating and incubating new growth opportunities and solutions, partnering with external stakeholders, and optimizing / growing our existing businesses. The role will also serve as the subject matter expert and data asset owner for many of our digital solutions, including PowerBI data visualizations, helping to transform complex data sets into meaningful insights that drive actionable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy
Facilitates business problem solving through structured hypotheses, detailed analyses, and synthesized insights leading to recommendations to senior management
Support and executes large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders and help coordinate strategic discussions with senior leaders
Develop and share content for presentations and reports, as well as supporting analytics, for senior leaders
Develop effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and colleagues
Business Intelligence
Translates complex data insights across customer, financial, market and business trends into meaningful business strategies and recommendations
Gathers business intelligence from a variety of sources including company data, industry and field reports, public information, or 3rd party data sets.
Apply program rigor and statistical rigor to projects to create defensible and insights recommendations in an imperfect data landscape
Design ETL workflows and analyze healthcare data using SQL to create impactful visualizations that drive clinical and operational insights.
Maintains digital assets and solutions across the business unit including Alteryx, Tableau and PowerBI
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
Education
4-year bachelor’s degree in business or finance, computer science, information systems, technology, or related field
Critical Skills
5+ years of strategy or consulting experience (in a Big 4 accounting firm or similar environment). Healthcare industry experience is a plus, but not required
Strategic Thinking: evaluating industry trends, developing long-term implications and recommending pragmatic strategies for new business opportunities
Analytical Rigor: ability to bring structure to ill-defined problems and intellectual leadership to problem solving; synthesize insights from analysis and ensure credible
