Case Western Reserve University, Department of Biomedical Engineering is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a postdoctoral scholar position. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewing for an additional year.
The Ocular Motility lab is dedicated to blending clinical neurology, computational neuroscience, and neural engineering to enhance brain health. Our lab is one of the few worldwide, and the only lab conducting deep brain stimulation(DBS) research focused on eye moements and vestibular functions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Data Analysis: Review and analyze healthcare research data with appropriate staff, to identify trends, problems, and opportunities to improve clinical outcomes
· Process Improvement: Identify and implement cutting-edge solutions to streamline research processes, improve efficiency in the lab, and enhance patient care
· Research Support: Support research activities including financial data collection, analysis and reporting, to improve reliable research outcomes and enhance healthcare delivery
· Coordination: Work as a key member of the team to coordinate Deep Brain Stimulation research, clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring effective collaboration and teamwork to reach study goals
· Communication: Collaborate with various stakeholders and develop briefings and reports to present findings, outlining specific results and recommendations to the investigative team
Minimum Qualifications:
· Doctorate in biomedical engineering.
· 2 years of experience with neurology, computational neuroscience and neural engineering.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary.
· Must be eligible to work in the United States.

In compliance with the City of Cleveland’s Pay Transparency Ordinance (effective
October 27, 2025), the annual starting base salary range for this position is $55,000 -
$62,652. CWRU considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding
and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer. Postdocs receive
individual and family healthcare benefits, life insurance, and employee assistance.
