Position Summary:

This position is responsible for performing basic repairs and routine maintenance in the facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

• Completes maintenance Work Orders
• Assists other trades, as needed

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains cleanliness and organization of work area

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Four years of experience operating power tools, fork lifts and handling requests with other trades

Competencies:  Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

• Basic knowledge of the safe and effective use of all types of power tools
• Ability to interpret and follow manuals, sketches and work orders

Training Requirements:

• Proper use of equipment and tools required to complete job duties
• Respirator trained and fit tested
• Man lift training (scissor and boom lift)
• Forklift training
• Fall training
• Mandated safety training

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Must be able to work in a smoking environment as well as various weather conditions including extreme hot and cold
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach and climb a ladder
• Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
