As Director of Occupational Health, you will manage overall departmental administrative operations, fiscal management, accounts receivable and program management support, all while fostering strong communication within the team and across departments. You will respond to various requests, streamline communication, manage reports and ensure ongoing compliance and improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities will involve overseeing eight direct reports (primarily on-site and one remote), including managing a call center position. Additionally, you will assist with budget control, focusing on quarterly financials and efficient resource allocation. In this role, you will work collaboratively with staff, creating a welcoming, encouraging and supportive environment where all caregivers feel valued and appreciated for what they bring to Cleveland Clinic.
A caregiver in this position works days from 8:30AM — 5:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Take responsibility for fostering strong communication within the team and across various departments, including responding to requests, helping to shape management reports and streamline communication for efficiency.
Manage reports related to occupational health, ensuring they are user-friendly and actionable.
Be involved in compliance efforts and driving continuous improvement in processes.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including HR, talent acquisition and individual managers across the organization.
Ensure that the budget is on track, with a focus on quarterly financials and taking responsibility for operational and financial management.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field
Knowledge of budgeting, cost analysis, staffing planning, supervision, and operational analysis
Can direct and evaluate the efforts of others
Seven years of progressively responsible related work experience, including at least three years in management
