The Position:

The Accounting Associate is an entry level accounting position and will be involved in activities related to recording and analyzing financial transactions in support of the month-end close process in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. We are looking for a detail-oriented self-starter with time management skills to handle multiple deadlines. To be successful the candidate needs strong accounting background and be willing to learn and prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, and possess good technical ability with Excel and accounting systems. This role reports directly to the VP and Controller. Responsibilities include:

• Review and prepare of revenue journal entries
• Prepare month end accrual entries including T&E accruals
• Review and download employee expense reports
• Analyze monthly travel and entertainment expense
• Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation and analysis of other balance sheet accounts
• Reconcile quarter end inventory to physical count
• Review and analyze monthly income statement and balance sheet for multiple branches
• Assist with the year-end audit
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• Identify opportunities and implement solutions for processes
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
• Provide ad-hoc support to the department

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30p with Overtime as needed
• Hyrbrd schedule with meetings and training at our Frisco office as needed

Requirements

• Must live near Frisco, TX
• Bachelor's in Accounting Preferred. Master's is a plus
• Fresh graduates with accounting degree or minimum 1 year experience in an Accounting position
• Must have large ERP AP system experience
• Expertise with Microsoft Excel
• NetSuite and Concur experience a plus
• Experience with Accruals, Accounts Review and T&E Entry and Analysis Preferred
• Attention to detail
• Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly
• Proactive, problem solving approach.
• Ability to work under pressure with positive attitude
• Ability to remain flexible and respond to changing priorities while remaining focused on results
