Teams of IT and Banking Support Activities work in an integrated, inclusive and transversal way, supporting all the business lines and country platforms.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p><strong>Team presentation and main goal:</strong></p><p>Financial Permanent Control (FPC) acts as a second line of defence (LOD2) covering Finance activities, directly attached to Natixis CFO.</p><p>Our mission is to ensure the consistency and the reliability of the financial information and data quality control (BCBS 239) by deploying a relevant and robust control framework. </p><p>FPC performs controls on the financial data produced by the remaining teams of the Finance Department.</p><p>FPC is composed by four teams:</p><ul><li>Accounting and Tax;</li><li>Regulatory and Prudential;</li><li>Supervision and Control Framework;</li><li>EMEA.</li></ul><p>As a Senior of the EMEA team, the candidate will be part of an extended team based in Porto which is fully integrated into the Head Office team.</p><p>Our main activities consist in conducting quarterly closing monitoring controls and ad hoc assignments which cover the scope of accounting, tax and financial information (statutory, consolidated accounts and tax declarations).</p><p><strong>Main tasks and goals</strong>:</p><ul><li>Perform quarterly LOD1 closing controls, within tight timescales for all EMEA branches and entities, this review being performed with additional LOD2 controls;</li><li>Prepare the draft quarterly reporting to EMEA Control Functions Coordination Committee (CFCC) and HO CFCC;</li><li>Perform ad hoc and thematic controls including (but not limited to) – business process and control changes, external regulatory, tax and accounting change, system implementations, risk-based projects addressing control issues arising, ad hoc control tests;</li><li>Prepare the control working files of the controls performed;</li><li>Communicate and document the potential findings and of areas of improvement on controlled scopes;</li><li>Update the control programs for implementation during controls.</li></ul><p>The position may involve travelling to Paris to facilitate the training and meet with the other colleagues.</p><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Master's Degree in Accounting, Audit or equivalent with bank accounting knowledge;</li><li>Auditing experience (1-3 years);</li><li>Accounting (advanced knowledge);</li><li>Control environment (notions);</li><li>Data management (advanced knowledge);</li><li>IFRS9 (notions);</li><li>CIB products (Financing and Global Markets) (notions);</li><li>Power BI and MS Office;</li><li><strong>Fluent English</strong> (mandatory) and <strong>French as a plus</strong>.</li></ul><p><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Result oriented;</li><li>Team spirit &amp; communication skills;</li><li>Proactivity &amp; critical thinking;</li><li>Analytical &amp; organizational skills.</li></ul><p><strong>We will only consider English CV's.</strong></p><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>At Natixis, we are committed to fostering a working environment where each and every one of our people is treated with dignity and respect and where every voice is heard.
