We are looking for:
The Compounding Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the operators and providing leadership to achieve safety and unit production goals for the Compounding Unit.
We count on you for:
- Provide supervision to an operating shift
- Conduct operator performance reviews
- Coordinate and lead operator training by ensuring training matrices are met and maintained
- Conduct JSAs and safety audits
- Drive improvements in Compounding operations safety performance by sharing best practices across shifts, follow through on assigned safety action items and participate/lead follow-up investigations for incidents/near misses
- Work closely with Process Engineer and Production Coordinator to establish priorities for cost and production
- Record daily logs
- Work with Maintenance to establish planning priorities and write work orders
- Capable of completing Compounding Floor or Opti-tech tasks as required
- Work with Planning to keep updated on production schedule changes
- Work with Reliability Engineer to identify and improve equipment reliability
- Demonstrate troubleshooting skills by solving persistent problems using APDM, process book or other tools
- Assist Production Engineer to author, revise, and maintain unit SOPs
- Work with other Shift Supervisors to establish vacation coverage, maintenance priorities, and consistent overall operation
- Ability to learn and use the plants software system (SAP) to aid in the maintenance activities and repair part accessibility
- Member of plant ERT
- Lead or serve on various unit teams
- Operate unit in accordance with OSHA, PSM, and EPA regulations
HSE REQUIREMENTS:
- Perform required safety audits per the Augusta Plant yearly audit plan.
- Attend plant-wide safety/wellness sessions.
- Review/perform required safety audits, JSA’s and What-if scenarios.
- Complete all required CBTs on time.
- Participate in PSM, PHA, and PSSR field reviews, as well as Follow-Up Incident investigations as needed.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all plant environmental standards, ES-01 through ES-10.
- Know the environmental permit limits for your assigned plant (air, waste water, storm water).
- Maintain a working knowledge of the Hazardous Waste Rules (RCRA) to include storage, handling, sampling, transporting, manifesting, record keeping, and emergency response.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the facility environmental plans (SPCC, Storm Water Pollution Prevention).

You will bring:
- High School diploma
- Successfully meet minimum skill requirements as defined in the Facilitator Work Keys profile
- Experience in the chemical/polymer industry 7 years minimum
- Demonstrated ability to lead and/or supervise operators
- Computer skills includes - Excel, Word, etc.
- Basic understanding of pumps, motors, valves, vacuum, pressure, temperature, and flow
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read P&IDs
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work
- Must be able to wear a respirator
- Ability to effectively and clearly communicate in meetings to operators and other supervision

- The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $90,880 to $113,600 per year
- Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
