Your role

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable POS automation frameworks and scripts; execute automation within sprints to support continuous delivery.
  • Perform POS functional + automation testing, including POS hardware and peripheral validations (pin pads/scanners/printers and related integrations).
  • Create and execute test scenarios, acceptance tests, and end‑to‑end test coverage across Web, Mobile, Cloud, and Desktop application platforms.
  • Own defect lifecycle management: create, track, triage, and communicate bug reports with clear repro steps and impact.
  • Partner with developers, product, and DevOps teams to ensure testability, improve quality gates, and support release readiness activities.
  • Contribute to DevOps practices including understanding CI/CD auto build processes, supporting deployments, and resolving environment/test execution issues.
  • Produce and share testing deliverables and communications: test closure reports, weekly/monthly status, metrics, and overall quality dashboards.

Your skills and experience

  • 8+ years of experience as an Agile Functional Tester / SDET, with proven delivery in POS test automation and quality engineering.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with POS testing (automation + functional) and POS hardware/peripheral testing in retail environments.
  • Proficiency with automation tools/frameworks such as Playwright, Robot Framework, Selenium, and automation development using Java/Python.
  • Solid understanding of test processes and deliverables, including suite design, coverage strategy, and reusable framework patterns.
  • Experience with Test Management tools (e.g., ADO) and disciplined defect/test documentation practices.
  • Working knowledge of Azure and Database Testing (secondary skills), including using data validation to support E2E quality.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to coordinate across multiple teams and operate effectively as an individual contributor.
