Modeling and Simulation Engineer

Modeling and Simulation Engineer - candidates will design and build data-driven models and simulations to inform decision-making regarding risk and issue management, drive improvements to EHRM applications and business processes, and support testing. Experience with modeling and simulation constructs for complex multi-network models utilizing multiple systems and scenarios.

Duties/Tasks:

Develop study proposals, methods, and project plans

Lead modeling and simulation study planning and execution

Develop reports and briefings

Interface with product and develop action plans for improvements

Apply SAFe/Agile/Lean methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness of products and processes

Coordinating internally and externally with customers and teams

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in a healthcare, IT, data science, or engineering field

15 years of relevant experience

Expert-level knowledge of modeling and simulation methods

Experience in guiding redesigns

Demonstrated knowledge of rules and regulations for handling of PHI and PII

Excellent communications skills

Preferred:

VHA work experience and active PIV card

Experience with Oracle Cerner products preferred

SAFe, Agile, and/or Lean certification
