Accounting Manager

Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for a wide variety of finance-related tasks that are primarily associated with preparing payroll reporting, journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. 

Main responsibilities

• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
• Prepare weekly & semi-monthly reports and files to set up payroll for      processing for Limerick and Group employees
• Assist with   month/quarter/year-end closing activities (journal entries, reserve      calculations, inventory valuation, intercompany reconciliation, etc.)
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve accounting discrepancies and      irregularities
• Develop and document accounting processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Record acquisition, movement, and disposal of fixed assets and track idle assets
• Support audit requests from internal and external auditors 
• Complete  special projects and assignments as required
• Perform other duties as assigned 

Requirements

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; or equivalent experience
• Experience  within Manufacturing Industry preferred
• At least (2) years of experience with payroll administration, general ledger and balance      sheet reconciliation.
• Proficiency  in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, Lookups, etc.)
• ERP and  Accounting Systems experience preferred
• Supervisory Experience
