We are seeking a Field Geologist with 5+ years of environmental consulting experience to support investigation, remediation, and long-term management of contaminated sites for federal government clients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties, but not all duties performed for this position. Other duties may be assigned.
• Provide hands-on field leadership and technical support for projects conducted under CERCLA, RCRA, and other applicable federal and state environmental programs.
• Plan and execute environmental field activities, supervise subcontractors, document site conditions, ensure collection of technically defensible environmental data, and support development of investigation and remediation deliverables.
• Strong understanding of geology and hydrogeology, environmental sampling techniques, field health and safety, and federal project documentation requirements.
• Field-focused geologist capable of independently leading environmental investigation activities while understanding how field decisions affect the overall CERCLA or RCRA project strategy.
• Comfortable working at complex federal facilities, making technically sound field recommendations, coordinating multiple field disciplines, and producing high-quality documentation that supports defensible regulatory and remedial decisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of environmental field experience, preferably supporting federal government projects.
• Experience conducting investigations and remediation under CERCLA and/or RCRA.
• Demonstrated experience with soil and groundwater sampling, drilling oversight, lithologic logging, and monitoring well installation/development.
• Working knowledge of geology, hydrogeology, contaminant fate and transport, and field QA/QC requirements.
• Experience implementing Work Plans, UFP-QAPPs, sampling plans, and health and safety plans.
• Ability to lead field teams and coordinate drilling and other field subcontractors.
• Strong field documentation, technical communication, and problem-solving skills.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and current refresher preferred/required for field assignments.
• Experience with DoD, USACE, AFCEC, or other federal environmental programs preferred.
• Professional Geologist (PG) or GIT certification/licensure preferred.
Additional Qualifying Factors:
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
