What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a Manager, Warehouse & Logistics who will be responsible for overseeing and improving, our raw material and finished goods warehouse operations, logistics, and materials management functions for the Conyers, GA manufacturing site. Inbound / Outbound freight, Stockroom & Material Delivery, Inventory Accuracy, Staffing for Salary and Indirect Materials Team Members and People Development. He / She will be responsible for implementing lean tools and processes that improve operating efficiencies and reduce cost within the end-to-end supply chain.
What you’ll be responsible for in this role:
- Oversee all Warehouse, Shipping, Receiving, Materials Handling and Transportation activities.
- Lead inventory cycle count process to achieve above 95%. Partner with procurement and production control to optimize cost and inventory.
- Track transportation on-time delivery while optimizing cost and inventory.
- Work with Quality to manage rejections and returns with vendors.
- Support the Engineering Change process with appropriate phase-in and phase-out plans for all purchased components.
- Ensure adequate stockroom and line-side inventory levels to support on-time schedule attainment.
- Ensure timely and accurate material movement transactions (receipt, put-away, pick, issue, adjust)
- Lead material / inventory control & planning activities including the coordination of cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Work closely with carriers to ensure products are shipped per customer delivery schedules.
- Work with HR, Maintenance, and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure adequate safety procedures and equipment are in place for all team members.
- Lead Continuous Improvement and Cost Reduction projects in accordance with Plant Management goals.
- Participate in SIOP meetings and provide all necessary supporting data / metrics.
