The Opportunity:
CACI has an immediate opening for an experienced Business/Systems Analyst and Technical Writer to join the Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) Technical Architecture team. In this role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to exercise a variety of business analysis and documentation skills to include requirements gathering, data analysis and mapping, design of system integrations and application user interfaces, testing, etc. The business/systems analyst candidate must have technical aptitude for the design and implementation of new business systems and associated requirements.
This role will also be responsible for creating clear, concise, and accurate documentation for the range of technical processes and services developed and used by EBS. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a creative spark to design and implement user friendly online technical documentation. They will work independently to collect, organize, and standardize a variety of technical information used by the technical architects, developers, support technicians, and application administrators in our organization
Responsibilities:
This position has responsibility for maintaining systems that contain or are directly exposed to ITAR/CUI. ITAR specifically limits access to U.S. persons.
Work closely with other business analysts, developers, and subject matter experts to understand and document functional and technical requirements.
Support formal testing in a controlled environment before code is promoted to production.
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and other team members to ensure project objectives are met.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and product managers to gather and understand complex technical information
Translate technical jargon into easy-to-understand language for various audiences (e.g., end-users, developers, or support staff)
Create and update online help systems, FAQs, and knowledge bases
Write and edit content for websites, blogs, and other digital platforms related to technical topics
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies relevant to the field
Qualifications:
Required:
US Citizenship is Required
University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 3-5 years of related work experience.
Willingness to learn and understand both functional and technical aspects of an enterprise system and lifecycle.
Strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills.
Experience creating online documentation in tools such as Microsoft SharePoint
Experience with functional decomposition of customer business needs into multiple layers of requirements and user stories.
Ability to understand the day-to-day operational needs of customers and identify areas for improvement in business processes and proposed solutions.
Ability to work independently on a complex task with little direction and management oversight.
Working knowledge of all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management.
Knowledge of using SQL to query Oracle or SQL Server databases.
Desired:
Prior programming or scripting experience is preferred.
Experience with related back-office systems, preferably for a Government contractor.
Knowledge and experience working on Agile software development teams.
Experience with Microsoft Visio.
Experience using or designing for modern iPaaS integration tools such as Boomi, MuleSoft, Workato, etc.
