Role
The purpose of the Logistics Team Member is to support the distribution and receipt of material between locations to support production.
Details
Typical shift is Monday -Friday, some Saturdays based on production; 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
Schedule could vary based on department and company needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing to sales associates for processing
- Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
- Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department
- Mark materials with identifying information using the appropriate method
- Open bales, crates, and other containers
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer programs
- Assist in counting physical inventory
- Weigh and count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards
- May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed
- Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
- Prepares orders for the next shift
- Drive 26” straight truck locally
- Maintain SQF (Safe Quality Food) compliance
Requirements
Education & Training Requirements
- High School diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience
Work Experience Requirements
- One year of prior warehouse experience
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less for up to 10 hours per day.

- Valid driver's license, must be able to be covered under company's insurance
