Job Description

 

Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system at UChicago Medicine Care Network as a Financial Business Analyst. This position will be primarily a work from home opportunity with the requirement to come onsite as needed. You may be based outside of the greater Chicagoland area. This is a flexible remote opportunity with the requirement to come onsite to our Burr Ridge, IL location 3 times per week.

 

 

The Financial Business analyst will report to the Manager of Finance and will provide business and financial analytical support for the Medical Group and other UChicago Medicine entities. The Financial Business Analyst will work with Financial Operations, Accounting, Ambulatory Operations, and Revenue Cycle to maintain accurate reporting, processes, and budgeting that supports the overall financial health of the UChicago Medicine. This role will also lead financial reporting improvements, assist with Month-end reporting, annual budgeting, compliance auditing, physician compensation analytics, accruals, and process bi-weekly physician payroll.

 

Job Functions 

  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. This includes evaluating financial reports, reviewing physician volume data, and creating budgeting models.
  • Maintain consistent reporting to physicians and operational leaders to ensure transparency and accuracy of physician and department performance metrics. Create and submit bi-weekly payroll, monthly physician accruals, and manage purchase order process
  • Prepare detailed and consistent reports and presentations for management, summarizing findings, variances, and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Partner with Revenue Cycle and Financial leaders to ensure synergy in reporting across multi-functional teams, which supports overall organizational alignment.
  • Conduct regular compliance auditing of contractual agreements as they relate to compensation, revenue, and expenses.

  Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, or healthcare financ
  • Healthcare experience highly preferred, with special considerations given to candidates who have revenue cycle or healthcare financial reporting experience
