Job description summary:This part-time, seasonal position will manage key aspects of the domestic application review process, including training Miami’s AI-powered OCR transcript-reading tool, training readers and monitoring performance, reading application files, making application corrections, and performing GPA recalculations. This position is approved for remote work. Remote work is not a right, but a working arrangement that can be modified or revoked by Miami University at any time for any reason.
Job Description
Essential Duties:
Train and quality-check Miami’s AI-powered OCR software to assist in the standardization and review of high school transcripts.
Buddy-read with new readers, assessing their review and recommendations to provide follow up and instructions until approved to read without oversight.
Read applications.
Monitor all applications with problematic data points, making corrections as needed, completing the review if possible, and/or sending the app to the territory reader or supervisor to follow up if necessary.
Check and correct or recalculate all incorrect GPAs in application files.
Adhere to review deadlines throughout the application cycle.
Support Office of Admission internal staff in the designated Slack channel and/or via email, responding in a timely fashion to complex questions about transcript review.

Minimum qualifications:
Permanent address in Ohio, Kentucky, or Indiana
Bachelor’s degree
1+ years of experience reviewing admission applications for Miami University
Prior professional experience working in Slate
