Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

Tyto Athene is searching for highly qualified Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida.

 

Responsibilities:

• The ISSO works closely with System Owners, Information System Security Engineers (ISSEs), Authorizing Officials (AOs), and IT administrators to enforce security standards, manage system authorizations (ATOs), and respond to incidents impacting mission-critical systems.
• Ensures the security and integrity of the organization's information systems.
• Develops and implements security policies and procedures, conducts regular audits, and manages incident response. Provides training and guidance on information security and privacy matters.
• onduct regular security audits, configuration compliance checks, and vulnerability assessments.
• Monitor system security posture using tools like ACAS, eMASS, Tenable.sc, and Splunk.
• Support the Authorization to Operate (ATO) process and maintain continuous monitoring plans for assigned systems.
• Coordinate and manage incident response activities, including investigation, containment, reporting, and remediation.
• Provide training, awareness, and guidance to system users and administrators on cybersecurity best practices and data protection.
• Collaborate with IT and mission stakeholders to ensure security is integrated into system design, deployment, and operations.
• Support 24/7/365 operations at Doral, FL, COOP, Exercises, and Deployments

Required:

• 10+ years of experience and HS or AA/AS or BA/BS or MA/MS

Desired:

• Master’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.

Certification:

• IAM III and IAT Level III
