Job Details:

Under general supervision, monitors and guides trainee performance. Employees in this job will train TEAM members to learn the safest practices, best production techniques, and to understand quality control, while interacting with management on a regular basis. This job requires knowledge of the process workflow and production in the locations manufacturing environment.

he goal of an hourly production trainer is to effective train the new team members in their job duties and responsibilities according to the job specifications set forth.
Each position requires a specific skill necessary to be performed correctly. These skills consist of learning to keep sharp tools, applying safe work practices, perform job standards to meet specifications, product shows and knowledge with ability to recognize deficient product specifications. Skills also include the ability to work with management and others to produce quality product, performing daily safety audits to ensure that all team members are working in a safe manner, interpreting (if needed) and communication with our team members and supervisors to prevent/deter turnover.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Hourly Trainers
•    Provide initial introduction to work area, job, fellow, TM’s and safety.
•    Assist supervisors in reviewing JSA with employees prior to starting job.
•    Cover goals and objectives of job task with TM qualifications
•    Review tracking responsibilities and Weekly Knowledge Audits with TM’s.
•    Review Job Breakdown with TM prior to job instructions.
•    Provide step-by-step instructions of job with feedback to TMs as needed.
•    Perform safety equipment checks with TM’s.
•    Determine job qualification status with TM on weekly basis by using quality and quantity checks, safety, and general work habits.
•    Review with Supervisor the qualification status of TM and communicate to the TM on a weekly basis.
•    Monitor department for good knife skills and techniques.
•    Certify TM on all jobs performed, qualify and document on tracking forms.
•    Ability to learn and perform necessary skills of all jobs.
•    Must have known experience and ability to communicate with other TMs management, known experience and ability of good organizational skills.
•    Must be able to perform all jobs in a continuous effective and efficient manner.
•    Must possess legible penmanship and good writing skills.
•    Must show a general knowledge of duties and responsibilities on different jobs. 
•    Ability to develop and motivate other TMs through self-development skills.
•    Must set a good example in safety, attendance and work ethic.
•    During initial job training, must have shown the ability to learn and qualify on any given job.
•    Ability to learn other task or processes assigned whether on the floor or in a classroom.
•    Interested in a long term and progressive career with Tyson Foods, Inc.
•    Must be able to work overtime (daily and or weekend as needed).
•    Must be able to keep track of TM tracking sheets, employee safety checks, weekly discussion of qualification with TM’s and Supervisor, Individual certification process (the new TM needs to understand what current status is and improvements needed) should be seen on tracking forms.

Compensation: $18.65/hr
