What we are looking for:
Yazaki is looking for a Summer Intern , Data Analytics to join the Chief Operating Officer’s team in Canton, MI. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. Onsite work model with some flexibility.
What you will be doing:
- Gathering data from cross-functional teams including but not limited to Manufacturing, Program Management and Supply Chain.
- Cleanse, process, and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of data-driven solutions to business problems.
What deliverable or outcome is expected:
- Visualizations and reports that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Documented process to complete data collection, analysis and reporting.
What you will bring to the table:
- Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution at the time of internship
- Completion of sophomore year with some organizational development or HR courses under the belt
- Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0
- Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours a week
- Basic knowledge of data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, Python, R, or SQL
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in using MS Excel and MS PowerPoint to create and manipulate spreadsheets and presentations
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Natural curiosity and diplomatic communication style
