What we are looking for:

Yazaki is looking for a Summer Intern , Data Analytics to join the Chief Operating Officer’s team in Canton, MI.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.  Onsite work model with some flexibility.

 

What you will be doing:

• Gathering data from cross-functional teams including but not limited to Manufacturing, Program Management and Supply Chain.
• Cleanse, process, and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
• Assist in the development and implementation of data-driven solutions to business problems.

What deliverable or outcome is expected:

• Visualizations and reports that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Documented process to complete data collection, analysis and reporting.

What you will bring to the table:

• Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution at the time of internship
• Completion of sophomore year with some organizational development or HR courses under the belt
• Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0
• Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours a week
• Basic knowledge of data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, Python, R, or SQL
• Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in using MS Excel and MS PowerPoint to create and manipulate spreadsheets and presentations
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
• Natural curiosity and diplomatic communication style
