JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Assistant Stable Manager reports to the Stable Manager.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Assist Stable Manager with tasks as required
- Turnout/bring in horses
- Blanket horses as necessary
- Feed horses hay and grain
- Clean stalls
- Clean and fill waterers/troughs
- Sweep barn aisle
- Give medications and first aid when needed
- If deemed experienced enough, assist with exercising and evaluating horses on horseback
- All other duties as assigned
This position must work one weekend day. This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
This job requires the following 3 publicly available clearances:
- PA State Police Criminal Background Check
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
- FBI Criminal Background Check
