Job Description:
Investment Solutions Group (ISG) provides access to a comprehensive wealth management platform that can help clients easily identify and prioritize goals, create a plan and a personalized strategy. Through a highly effective investment process, the organization provides investment solutions across all product platforms and asset classes through a comprehensive due diligence and oversight process for client portfolios. It also coordinates the investment strategy for wealth management advisors and clients, harmonizing and distilling market themes, identifying trends and supporting our client-focused investing approach.
The Head of Product Governance will report to the ISG Governance Executive and will be responsible for supporting the governance functions for Alternative Investments, Traditional Investments, and Personal Retirement lines of business in ISG. This role will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the governance structure for the lines of business including managing governance meeting routines, process inventory administration, policy and procedures, and exception management. In addition, the role will work directly with enterprise and line of business leadership to implement solutions that resolve critical business challenges. The individual will also engage with other ISG governance peers to drive governance process efficiencies across ISG.
Position will direct and manage governance & risk related processes for one or more complex business groups. Exercises judgment and influences senior business managers and peers to ensure enforcement of strong risk and governance management while balancing business strategy. Works with the senior leadership to develop, implement and communicate Corporate Risk Management mission, goals and strategies. Proactively manages the relationships with regulatory agencies, external consultants and other internal risk management groups.
Job Responsibilities:
• Partner with lines of business to design an effective risk and control environment and ensure adherence to enterprise-wide standards
• Oversee Issue Management activities end-to-end, including development of action plans for self/audit /compliance-identified issues
• Engages with regulators, participating in meetings between business leaders and regulators and overseeing responses to regulatory inquiries
• Fosters a best in class operating and risk management culture and acts as a trusted resource across the Lines of Businesses
Required Qualifications:
• Deep understanding of investment products within asset and wealth management
• Strong leaderships skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Executive presence and ability to lead meetings, including meetings with executive participants
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Significant business knowledge of risk management and regulatory interactions
Desired Qualifications:
• 12+ years of experience in financial services industry or experience in a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
