Job Summary
PSEG is looking for a Summer 2026 Technical Intern for the Gas Construction PMO. This job involves working as a technical intern for large-scale gas infrastructure capital upgrade projects. This position will be Onsite. The Gas Construction department is responsible for the planning and execution of large-scale capital gas infrastructure upgrade projects as part of Gas System Modernization Program, as well as other programs of work. The team is responsible for work planning, resource allocation, municipal/county/state permitting, contractor management, mobile crew and service mechanic oversight, completion of all required documentation, final restoration, reporting etc. The technical intern will provide support for the final restoration (milling and paving) and analytical reporting day to day activities as well as learn various aspects the Gas Construction/Project Management business.
Job Responsibilities
Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:
- The successful Incumbents will primarily aid the Paving Engineers, Process Analyst and Senior Project Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Gas Construction team.
Tasks may include but are not limited to:
- Evaluating Gas Construction projects for proposed mill and pave plan.
- Reading construction drawings.
- Reviewing/auditing paving and project management documentation and processes.
- Visit job sites throughout the service territory.
- Assist with process improvement through participation in team and project meetings.
- Assist with restoration invoice processing and documentation.
- Coordinate resources with contractors, districts etc.
- Assist with the monthly forecasting process.
Job Specific Qualifications
- The successful incumbent(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or Project Management and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029.
