Orthodontic Assistant

Join our talented and enthusiastic orthodontic team! We provide treatment with braces and aligners. Responsibilities include supporting the orthodontist in providing care for our patients, preparing patients for adjustments, taking diagnostic records, maintaining a clean work space, providing adjustments for braces and aligners, and patient education. Good communications and organizational skills are important, along with the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.

Duties include:

• Making our patients a  priority and ensuring they are seated on time 
• Prepare teeth for bonding of brackets and attachments
• Educating patients on excellent oral hygiene
• Appointment scheduling as needed
• Reviewing treatment with patients and parents after appointments
• Taking photos, x-rays, and iTero scans with attention to detail
• Charting notes for patients seen and their next visit with accuracy
• Chairside assisting the orthodontist with adjustments
• Anticipating what the doctor may need during appointment and takes action
• Helping with proper sterilization of all instruments and maintaining a clean work space
• Performing side tasks daily and/or monthly as assigned by the clinic coordinator
• Performs side tasks daily and/or monthly as assigned by Clinic Coordinator
• Attending team meetings and morning huddles
• Representing the practice in a positive way inside and outside of the office

Requirements

• At least 1 year of dental assisting experience is required (orthodontics preferred)
• Self-motivation, organization, and have a positive attitude
• Understanding of dental terminology and anatomy
• Excellent communication and written skills
• Team player
• Experience in delivering high-level customer service
• Dependable and on time daily
