What You Will Do:

We have an opportunity for a motivated, self-directed Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) Manager to support the sites in Raytheon’s West Region, including customer and remote locations. 

As an EHS Manager, West Region Support, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment and will foster employee engagement and drive risk reduction and continuous improvement of the EH&S program. This is a unique opportunity that will give you the chance to see our products as they are produced in the factory and then in use at customer locations.   

Your responsibilities will include:

• Recognizing, evaluating and controlling hazardous workplace conditions. 
• Taking proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influence safe behaviors. 
• Partnering with site POCs and EH&S subject matter experts to assure compliance including appropriate documentation to prove alignment with federal, state, local and company EH&S requirements. 
• Executing initiatives, programs, reports and training across multiple EH&S disciplines, as required to achieve and maintain compliance. 
• Investigating, analyzing and interpreting data from injuries and near-misses, and ensuring corrective actions are completed on time. 
• Interacting with employees of all levels, promoting relationships, learning the tasks employees perform and becoming known as a resource to the employees at the sites within your region.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of EH&S strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement. 
• Identifying environmental risk and supporting the sites’ environmental compliance programs, including hazardous waste management, stormwater and ground-water protection plans, air quality permitting, wastewater and toxic chemical reporting. 
• Developing and implementing sustainability practices and programs related to waste, water, and greenhouse gases in alignment with our long-term goals. 

This job requires up to 50% travel

This job is posted as HYBRID, and is based at Raytheon’s El Segundo, CA facility.  Any commuting costs to and from the El Segundo, CA Raytheon location are the responsibility of the job incumbent.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
• Experience providing EHS training to internal and/or external stakeholders
• Experience working with OSHA and / or EPA standards in a military or civilian environment

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience working alone or unsupervised for long periods. 
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, occasionally to remote or austere environments
• Practical knowledge of leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics
• Experience with Electrical Safety, LOTO and Fall Protection
