The Job:

Stanley Black & Decker, seeks an electronics engineering manager to join the Electrification Technologies Team at our worldwide design headquarters in Towson, Maryland.  In this role you will handle various projects generating and driving IP, OEM designs, and program managing electrification technology projects.  This is a unique opportunity for inventive managers to shape process improvements and product vision.
 

You'll Get To:

• Translating multiple and simultaneous specifications into a schedule of appropriate actions
• Individual skills, talents and strengths in engineering and program management
• Managing-up to align senior leadership with schedule and needs
• Affinity towards hands-on engineering
• Knowledge of Electronics and Electrical designs in consumer products
• Knowledge of embedded software development
• Good appreciation of electro-mechanical designs

 
Preferred Knowledge & Skills:

• Bench skills including circuit construction and instrumentation
• Troubleshooting analog and digital circuitry to root cause failure
• Design switched mode power between 10W and 1kW
• DC motor controls: brushed and brushless
• Embedded microprocessors and firmware
• Li-ion battery packs and charging lithium-ion batteries
• Hobbyist, robotics, makers, hackers

The Person:

• Bachelor of Science in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Electronics Technology or equivalent
• ABET Accredited Institution or equivalent
• Experience leading engineering teams of 2 to 5 members
• 8 to 12 years relevant work experience in consumer products
• Most recent 2 years as team manager working across cross-functional teams
