Business Analyst - Production Operations

Job Description:

Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Business Analyst reporting to the IT Director in Midland, Texas. This position will be responsible for providing application and business process support for multiple business units. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and organizational skills and be able to effectively collaborate and communicate throughout the entire company. 

General Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and support to end users while ensuring stability of applications and workflows.

• Develop business cases to support project proposals and strategic decision-making.

• Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and scope.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize requirements while ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Lead efforts in mapping and analyzing business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

• Document and analyze functional and technical business requirements to ensure alignment with project goals and stakeholder needs.

• Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current and desired states and recommend actionable solutions.

• Perform root cause analysis of issues and determine and implement appropriate resolution.

• Facilitate solution integration by coordinating with cross-functional teams and ensuring seamless implementation of new systems and processes. 

Minimum Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent experience

• Knowledge of production operations, production accounting and regulatory processes

• 3+ years of oil and gas industry experience

• Beginner to intermediate proficiency in SQL

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of tools such as ProCount, Ignition, Intelex, Scout, Execute, Databricks, etc.

• 3+ years of Spotfire and/or PowerBI experience

• Experience with Power Apps or Power Automate a plus
