Description of the assignment

Vanderlande has hundreds of thousands of part numbers

active. These items are assigned a status, like; unconditional, conditional, End-of-Life etc. With the change to move from Engineer-to-Order towards Configure-to-Order we see the need for different statuses coming up. But also regionalization of parts of our products are introduced. Items that would not be allowed to be used in other regions should be set based on a status. And the status should reflect position of an item in its life cycle. In this assignment your focus will be to find out what statuses Vanderlande needs and how they should be assigned in the processes within Vanderlande.

Description of department
The department for this project would be Winning with Smart Platforms. It is part of the Global Operations department. In this group we are defining and helping in executing improvements that need to be introduced in order to allow Vanderlande to become more efficient and contribute to a higher profitability

Responsibilities

• As a student you are going to map what statuses are now available, what consequences are related to its present status. But also co-define what is needed now and in the near future.

• Research in cooperation with R&D, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations and Business Architects.

We expect the end report to give an overview of all available product statuses and a  recommendations of what statuses should be changed and/or introduced and for what specific purpose.

Skills
We are looking for someone with an open mind and a keen interest in investigating and solving a problem that covers multi disciplines in an international environment.
