Danfoss Climate Solutions (DCS) is currently seeking a visionary and experienced leader. In this role, you will lead our efforts toward a zero-defect mindset, playing a critical role in ensuring quality excellence and safety across all functions. 

 

As our Senior Director, Quality & Safety, you will serve as the global leader for Quality and Safety, reporting directly to the SVP of DCS Finance and Business Support.

You will work closely with divisional Quality and Safety teams as well as cross-functional teams including Production, Research & Development (R&D), Procurement, and Operations to drive innovative solutions and implement globally aligned Quality and Safety processes and initiatives.

This role is pivotal in ensuring our teams meet the highest safety standards while exceeding customer expectations in an ever-changing landscape.

Job Responsibilities

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Execute Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of a global Quality and Safety strategy, collaborating closely with divisional leadership and Quality and Safety teams.
• Enhance Automotive Quality Standards: Ensure compliance with IATF16949 and other industry standards.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee the production of safe, sustainable, and high-quality products, mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with global regulations, while driving down our cost of poor quality.
• Lead People & Culture: Align, coach, and develop global Quality and Safety teams, ensuring competencies are standardized and continuously improved across regions.
• Foster Collaboration: Partner with R&D and production teams to integrate Quality and Safety best practices into new product development and manufacturing processes.
• Governance & Processes: Establish and maintain robust Quality and Safety governance models, tools, and processes to support improvement projects and ensure accountability.
• Innovation & Growth: Take ownership of strategic projects to improve profitability and drive growth.

Background & Skills

To succeed in this role, you bring:

• Global Leadership: At least 10 years of experience in operations and Quality and Safety roles, with a minimum of 5 years in senior leadership roles.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment, influencing and partnering with global teams across R&D, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain.
• Advanced Technical Skills: Proficiency in ISO14001, ISO45001, FMEA, process audits, PPAP, Lean methodologies, and related tools.
