THE JOB: 

The Cage Cashier is primarily responsible for handling monetary transactions and exchanges with guests.  You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING PAY RATE:  $18.25 / Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Execute frontline entry-level transactions, including chip bank, poker, cage credit, and employee bank/window transactions
• Handle functions in the marker/IOU bank, cash bank, main bank, and High Limit Slot or High Limit Table (Baccarat) cages; may also assist with patron Kiosk/TRU units and employee Recycler/JetSafe units
• Cash various types of checks for patrons according to specified guidelines; redeem chips/tokens, TITO (ticket in/ticket out), and Race and Sports tickets
• Manage Marker and Front Money transactions on patron accounts; redeem all acceptable forms of foreign currency
• Securely document all recordable transactions involving company assets and record all checks cashed in the designated computer system
• Accurately complete electronic multiple transaction logs and, when necessary, manually complete transaction logs; balance the bank at the end of each shift
• Provide patrons with general information as requested
• Issue or surrender safety deposit boxes

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent
• Nevada State Gaming Registration
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
• One (1) year of previous casino cage experience in a similar resort setting
• Experience with Title 31 reporting
• Proficiency in fundamental mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and money handling
• Working knowledge of 10-key adding machine, currency counter and cash advance machine
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
• Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
• Capable of standing and walking for a majority of the shift
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
