Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing law enforcement (LE), physical security (PS) and force protection (FP) functions; 2) Identifying/Deploying specialized or advanced techniques, equipment, knowledge, and/or training; 3) Conducting preliminary and/or ongoing investigations of incidents; and 4) Documenting law enforcement and security events and the issuance of citations. You must attend, or have attended in the past 10 years, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program (UPTP) course. This is the police academy for all police personnel in the department and is a condition of employment. This course is approximately three months in length.
