Job Title:  Team Lead - Maintenance

Location: Richmond, VA       

 

What we are looking for:

The Team Lead – Maintenance position is a working team lead, responsible for coordinating maintenance employees in completing daily task required.

 

Essential Competencies: 

  • Responsible for coordination with daily work activities of maintenance employees
  • Works closely with production supervisor & team leads to determine priority levels and equipment availability to meet PM, work requests, and scheduled work order compliance to meet maintenance metrics KPI goals with a sense of reasonable urgency.
  • Proactive mindset, address problems before they become problems
  • Manage workload resource balancing. I.e. Appropriate manpower for the assignment
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed using Fixx work order system.
  • Locate parts and prices to effect repairs, complete required forms for purchases.
  • Use the National Electrical Code, manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machinery and associated equipment.
  • Perform all safety checks within the department
  • Keep work area clean, safe, and orderly manner
  • All other duties assigned

 

Minimum Quantifiable Competencies:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Good knowledge of excel and word documents creating charts and reports.
  • Mobile equipment, forklifts, aerial lifts.
  • Have experience with a maintenance ticketing system

 

Preferred Competencies:

  • Certification
  • High School and Trade School or Apprenticeship.
  • Ability to successfully accomplish multiple tasks and priorities and quickly adapt in a fast-paced high-energy environment.

 

 

Essential Physical/Environmental Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to but not limited to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to but not limited to 50 pounds. 
  • The employee must be able to work at heights over 100 feet occasionally.
  • Occasional overtime and extended hours are required.
  • Occasional work performed in environments > 100 degrees.
