Position Overview:

Supports HR operations and clinician services projects for Sansum Medical Group, managing end‑to‑end workforce processes for clinicians. Responsibilities include onboarding, offboarding, new hire orientation, FTE management/position control, requisition intake, job classification, time‑off tracking and coverage coordination in partnership with Clinic Leadership, HR, Payroll, and Credentialing. Coordinates provider credentialing and payer enrollment timelines to align with start dates and readiness to practice.
Uses standardized project management methods to deliver multiple medium projects and 1–3 large, complex, cross‑functional HR initiatives; ensures policy compliance, accurate data and workflows in HRIS/timekeeping systems, effective change management, stakeholder communications, risk/issue tracking, and timely status reporting. Provides day‑to‑day leadership, coaching/consulting, and facilitation to multidisciplinary teams driving HR, benefits, payroll, and workforce planning outcomes. Maintains SOPs, SLAs, dashboards, and audit‑ready documentation to support consistent, high‑quality HR service delivery. Performs other projects and duties as assigned to support Sansum Medical Group.

EDUCATION:

  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
  • Bachelor's: Administration, Health Administration, Public Health or related field
     

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 4 years recent relevant experience.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Conceptual, analytical and negotiation skills are necessary, along with skills in solving complex problems and developing actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in order to manage large complex projects (i.e. number of resources, functional areas, time requirements, and the organizational experience of the subject).
  • Demonstrated ability in leading / facilitating teams.
  • Customer service focus in all decisions and actions.
  • Interpersonal skills and an ability to cultivate a network within Sutter Health to gain support from key stakeholders and gain trust and respect from senior leaders.
  • High level of operational thinking and expertise with the ability to quickly analyze and understand healthcare operations desired.
  • Detail oriented, self-directed and able to work autonomously.
  • Communicate complex concepts and ideas effectively to all levels within the organization.
  • Develop, create and deliver presentations to all levels within the bay area foundation.
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously learn and improve understanding of project methodology and tools.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, project management and presentation applications required, preferably the Microsoft Suite.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, including a high level of tact, diplomacy, and adaptability.
  • Organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects, multiple (and sometimes conflicting) priorities and adapt to a rapidly changing environment involving multiple stakeholders at various levels.
  • Collaborative working style and ability to develop/sustain productive work relationships with key stakeholders and other project resources across all areas and levels of the organization.

Pay Range is $34.25 to $51.38 / hour

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
