POSITION SUMMARY:
This position provides inspection, evaluation, and review services for the Office of Inspector General (OIG), Accountability Section, Inspection and Evaluation Unit.

This position plays a key role in supporting the development and execution of strategic and performance improvement initiatives. You will have the unique opportunity to evaluate law enforcement operations, provide critical insights, and contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Department. Your work will directly influence the Department’s ability to meet its mission of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
This position will be filled in one of the following locations: Headquarters (Tallahassee), Pensacola Regional Operations Center, Jacksonville Regional Operations Center, or Orlando Regional Operations Center.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
- Conducting comprehensive inspections and evaluations of Department programs, processes, policies, and procedures to assess efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with regulations and standards;
- Planning, coordinating, and participating in research, evaluation, and special projects;
- Providing actionable, evidence-based recommendations to senior leadership aimed at enhancing operational performance, policy compliance, and public trust; and
- Working collaboratively with other Units in the Accountability Section and other sections within the OIG to accomplish OIG and Department goals and objectives.
SPECIAL NOTE:
- In-state travel required as part of position duties (5%)

- Ability to provide thorough and accurate evaluations and inspections to support well-informed decision-making;
