This is an opportunity to join the Protected Communications Systems (PCS) Financial Planning and Analysis team within Strategic Solutions (SS) / Mission Systems (MS) / Collins as a Principal Specialist, FP&A.

The successful candidate will collaborate with key functional leaders and program office teams, as well as Leadership, to support execution of the forecasting process and commitment to financial results. This includes Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP), Investment, balance sheet and Monthly Forecast Reviews.

In addition, primary responsibilities will include utilizing the full complement of tools (Business Warehouse, SAP/APEX, Rplan) to provide targeted analysis that drives business unit level financial performance.

This position will be an integrated part of a fast-paced finance team where tactical thinking, multitasking and individual initiative are key requirements. The successful candidate will be able to provide support for ad hoc data reporting as needed.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Ensuring accuracy & completeness of data. 
  • Support the organization through various weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual routines including the following: Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP), Investment Planning, Monthly Operation Reviews, Monthly Forecast Reviews, and Balance Sheet Reviews
  • Analyze large amounts of data from various sources in support of various requests
  • Interact with and influence individuals at every level of the Financial, Program Office and functional organizations
  • Meet critical deadlines while multitasking and managing workload requirements

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Finance experience within the aerospace and defense industry
  • Experience with SAP Business Warehouse
  • Excellent computer skills including a high level of proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis Experience
  • APEX and Rplan experience
  • Strong attention to detail & ability to analyze complex financial scenarios
