Accountant I - FT - 1st Shift (72024)

Hours: 8:30AM - 5PM

Days: Monday - Friday 

JOB SUMMARY

Performs routine accounting tasks to support the monthly close process and ensure the integrity of financial records for assigned legal entities, including financial reporting on a quarterly to semi-annual basis.  Associates in this position will continue to build foundational experience in general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.  Accountant I is typically assigned to smaller legal entities with straight-forward operations and basic intercompany transactions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:     Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent experience.

Licensure:     None, progress towards CPA certification preferred.

Experience: 0-2 years of accounting experience and basic understanding of GAAP

Skills: Ten key calculator and Microsoft Excel, ability to read and interpret computer reports.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Typical office setting; may require evening and weekend work during end of month and year closing of accounts.

Sitting with prolonged concentration to detail.
