Job Summary:
The Systems Administrator assumes responsibility for a range of IT functions, encompassing the design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging, and implementation of application programs that support the company's infrastructure, business processes, operations, and network-based product systems. Troubleshooting skills for both systems software and hardware are key. Furthermore, strategic planning, conduct, and oversight of the analysis of business problems to develop automated system solutions are among the responsibilities of the Systems Administrator. A dedicated approach to achieving objectives, which may include providing support during off-hours, is a distinguishing characteristic.
Responsibilities:
Performs IT functions, including designing, analyzing, evaluating, testing, debugging, and implementing application programs that support the company's infrastructure, business processes, operations, and network-based product systems.
Plans and oversees the analysis of business problems to develop automated system solutions.
Identifies pain points and provides recommendations for system architecture stability, operability, portability, security, and scalability.
Conducts troubleshooting of system software and hardware issues.
Works independently with minimal supervision on daily tickets and tasks.
Collaborates with teammates to find productivity solutions.
Identifies quality and reliability issues in the systems maintained by the team.
Demonstrates willingness and ability to do what it takes to achieve objectives, including performing off-hours support tasks.
Required Skills:
Knowledge in Windows Server/ Linux, Windows O365, Azure AD, Exchange, Okta, Intune, Jamf.
Knowledge in Zoom and Teams Administration.
Knowledge in hybrid cloud computing (AWS, Azure, VMWare etc.)
Knowledge of Active Directory domain services.
Knowledge of core networking concepts and technologies (i.e., IP addressing, DNS, TCP/UDP, etc.)
Understanding of Jira and Confluence administration.
Knowledge of SSH concepts (remote command execution, password less SSH, setting up SSH on new machines).
Knowledge of one or more of the following: Jenkins, Ansible etc
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience with at least one scripting language (Python, Perl, Bash or PowerShell).
1+ years of relevant experience.
