Lead Architect - GCP (U.S. - remote)

Our client is looking for Lead Architect – GCP (U.S. - Remote/ Full-time/Contract) to support the current and ongoing projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Support GCP customers by monitoring & resolving critical and complex technical issues with the global support delivery team.
• Support customers utilizing GCP, and all associated services.
• Automate infrastructure and develop tools and processes to improve the customer experience and reduce support toil.
• Own issues end-to-end working collaboratively with team and peers.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification: 7-8 years of IT experience, and 2-3 Years on the Google Cloud Platform.

• Good proficiency in GCP Big Query is a must.
• Strong knowledge of Python and SQL is required.
• Proficiency with git and git workflows is needed.
• Experience on building data pipelines on Data fusion & other GCP data services.
• Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect with experience of automating and orchestrating workloads on GCP or other Public Clouds.
• Experienced in leveraging CI and CD tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, Spinnaker) to automate testing and deployment.
• Experience of working in an Agile and fast-paced DevOps environment.
• Preferably, experience in building distributed, highly available applications or systems architectures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate technical issues to nontechnical and technical audiences.
• Working knowledge of Backup and Recovery methodology and implementations.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline. An additional 4 years of demonstrated middleware or equivalent experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
