Primary Responsibilities:  

• Day to day management of the governance framework across FTSE Russell, ensuring processes and procedures are suitable for a regulated benchmark administrator.   

• Enhance and develop governance procedures and controls so that the framework continues to operate effectively and to consistently high standards. 

• Deliver training on the governance framework to support strong awareness of governance requirements across the business 

• Support the delivery of internal controls and other reports which involves engaging with third party auditors and maintaining effective record-keeping

• Manage the Conflicts of Interest register and accompanying business processes. 

• Maintain and run the Governance team's internal Sharepoint site to support awareness and use of governance policies and procedures 

• Owns and drives ad-hoc projects for the business to support strategic objectives and business improvements. 

• Engage with colleagues across the business to support effective decision-making and oversight

Essential Skills/Experience Required:  

• Experience of working in a regulated business

• Strong verbal and written skills 

• Governance or Compliance background 

• Ability to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders and lead change 

• Well organised with strong verbal and written communication skills 

• Experience of working within a regulated business 

• Understanding of the global financial marketplace 

Desired Skills/Experience Required:  

• Good interpersonal skills, able to work in a small team 

• Experience of financial indices is highly desirable 

• Strong organisational skills 

• Working knowledge of Office 365 applications
