SUMMARY:

The Refrigeration Technician position will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing all aspects of the ammonia refrigeration system.  Onsite hands-on training as well as ongoing continuing education will be provided for candidates based on experience.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safe and efficient operation of the ammonia refrigeration system
Preventative maintenance inspections and calibrations 
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair system problems  
Communication and coordination with PSM coordinator and site management  
Manage vendors and subcontractors as needed 
Responsible for maintaining and prioritizing system task list.    

QualificationsREQUIREMENTS:


A minimum of 3 years of experience working on industrial refrigeration systems
Attention to detail, organized, and strong troubleshooting skills
Self-motivated, can work both independently and in a team environment 
Willing to help train and develop other technicians
Must be able to pass requirements to wear a full-face respirator


 

PREFERRED SKILLS & TRAINING:


Experience with controls, PLCs, and electrical schematics
RETA certifications (CARO, CIRO, CRST, CRES)
Familiarity with JCI/Frick Control systems & JCI/Frick screw compressors 
Microsoft Word & Excel proficiency
Familiarity with industry governing codes and standards such as IIAR, ASHRAE, PSM, RMP
