What You’ll Do

  • Assist social/community investment and communications teams with large events such as community investments, townhalls and celebrations.
  • Manage the distribution of tickets and collateral related to partnerships and events.
  • Support sponsorships and donation applications and events/partnership activations.
  • Develop communication plans for key programs and initiatives such as project and operations milestones, community partnerships, changes in operations, etc.
  • Develop trusting relationships with internal stakeholders (be their go-to while upholding our mandate).
  • Write intranet news, spotlights, headlines, pages and contribute to the development of other content as required (e.g. town hall materials, speaking notes for leaders etc.)

Who You Are

  • Available to begin work in September 2024
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship for this role will not be provided.
  • As this position requires the operation of a motor vehicle, a valid US Driver's License is required.
  • Previous experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong attitude for carrying out all work in a safe, cautious manner while following safe work practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education 

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communications, Sustainability, Marketing, or Public Relations.
  • Preference will be given to students in 3rd or 4th year
  • Availability for multiple work terms is preferred
  • Strong academic performance
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week

Working Conditions

  • May include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc.
