Here’s the Gist:
We are looking for a VP & General Manager of Automotive to further develop and lead Wolfspeed’s Automotive function.  This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned leader to build and grow a world-class organization.  You will be a hands-on senior leader ready to act decisively, move quickly and drive positive changes to the organization.

You will work closely with other leaders to drive the growth of business and revenue.  The focus of this position will be the execution of a strategy for the full lifecycle of Automotive products and for directing the activities of the organization to identify, pursue, and secure high leverage opportunities that drive the adoption of Wolfspeed’s semiconductor portfolio of SiC Power solutions.  

The Day-to-Day

• Determine and drive the global enterprise strategy to build and grow global presence and to achieve revenue targets
• Work closely with senior leadership team on short and long-term strategy
• Manage senior level customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities when needed
• Leverage our sales team while also expanding and growing the team as part of our overall strategy
• Monitor market and competitor activity
• Work cross-functionally with R&D, planning, sales leaders, operations, marketing, channel distribution, customer services to develop and execute strategies
• Identify and create new sales opportunities.
• Demonstrate the highest standards of ethics, teamwork, personal accountability and mutual support
• Manage and maintain budget

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

• BA/BS Degree, MBA preferred
• A minimum of 15 years of progressively advancing management experience, ideally within technology companies with significant exposure to semiconductors or automotive industry
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in an Automotive leadership position
• Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload and the ability to prioritize company objectives and meet aggressive deadlines.
• The ability to recognize each team member's motivations and create an environment to leverage strengths and improve on weaknesses through effective performance management and mentorship
• Experience collaborating with leaders in other functions
• External and internal communications, meeting facilitation and presentations
• Network with other associations and industry contacts that are in the best interest of the organization
• Great strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
