Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - Rhinology Division

Lennar, Plantation and SoLe Mia satelites  

Full Time

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) delivers medical care to a wide variety of patients. The APRN also examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with the other health care professionals. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. May prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests. Advises patients about continuing care.  

JOB FUNCTIONS 

Clinical Practice Development

  • Establish and maintain an independent, longitudinal medical rhinology practice at Coral Gables and Broward satellite locations.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including head & neck physical exams, endoscopic evaluations, and management of rhinology patients requiring debridement and culture.
  • Conduct medical work-ups for rhinologic conditions and provide evidence-based medical management.

Clinical Support for Satellite Practices

  • Facilitate the medical evaluation of new patients presenting with rhinologic concerns.
  • Identify and refer patients with refractory sinusitis for surgical consultation and care.
  • Ensure continuity of care through coordinated, stable longitudinal follow-ups.
  • Expand access to specialized rhinology care at the Coral Gables and Broward sites.

Administrative and Care Coordination Responsibilities

  • Draft Letters of Medical Necessity for procedures and medications.
  • Conduct insurance communications, including peer-to-peer reviews as needed.
  • Provide patient education and guidance related to care plans and treatment options.
  • Complete FMLA and other related administrative paperwork.
  • Support tumor patient care coordination: obtain slides, facilitate referrals, coordinate with social work, and assist with tumor board scheduling.
  • Triage new patients for appropriateness and ensure timely retrieval and review of medical records.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS 

Education 

Master’s degree in relevant field

Certification and Licensing:  

Valid State of Florida APRN license 

 

Experience:  

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience 

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes: 

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions 

  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail 

  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines 

  • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment 

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
