Regional Technical Product Manager

The position Regional Technical Product Manager works with the regional and global R&D on projects related to product management, OEM specifications, and application development. This position collaborates with the Global and Regional Technical Product Managers interacts with scientist at other Envalior’s manufacturing and R&D facilities in Germany, Netherlands, India, and China.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as interface ‘customers/market - R&D for the region
- Act as complaint processor for performance complaints in the region
- Supports ADTS, CAE, BDM, Sales with material technical expertise (and involves R&D scientists and PD when appropriate) in case of complex technical questions at the customer
- Act as the interface ‘manufacturing - R&D in the region:
- Technical lead for product maintenance project (PMR) in case of raw material qualification in the region
- Safeguard APQP process for new/modified compounds in case of intended change in manufacturing process/hardware.
- Linking pin to regional production sites, participate in discussion with manufacturing on capability analysis and define improvement actions / programs (via PMR or PSDR)
- Coordinates the preparation for scale up/introduction of a new (or modified) raw materials to Manufacturing
- Decides on release of non-conforming (out-of-spec) batches of commercial grades. Gives advice in case a non-conforming batch cannot be released.
- Challenges Manufacturing to identify the root cause of the batch being nonconforming.
Purpose

Impact of position
The Regional Technical Product Manager is key on communicating highly technical information across the various groups, from R&D, ADTS, Product Management to Sales. This information is critical to positioning Envalior’s products and applications at an advantage over competitive materials and therefore is key to maintain and gain new business at new and existing customers.
Requirements
- Master or PhD in material science, polymer chemistry. (We will consider others with experience in leu of a degree.)
- 5+ years' experience in Plastics
- Technical skills, Project management, stakeholder management, interpersonal skills, negotiation skills
- Leadership experience is preferred.
- Experience working with Global teams required.
