About the opportunity

  • The Director Corporate Services has operational oversight for Commercial/Retail Services, Food and Environmental Services, Administrative Support Staff, Fleet, Security and Maintenance Services

  • The role will foster an integrated approach to the provision of corporate and business services ensuring Mercy Health Services corporate functions positively to influence clinical and care outcomes and a positive consumer experience

  • This role will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, recognising the importance of collaboration and partnerships

  • The Director of Corporate Services is the responsible person for all activities in their areas of accountability, but must link with and ensure alignment with other service delivery areas and priorities

  • While undertaking this role, The Director is required to utilise and participate in the broader activities of Mercy Health and Mercy Health Services to maximise cross-organisational systems and structures, to deliver the best quality and most efficient health care with our available resources

What you’ll bring

  • Extensive management experience within a large, complex healthcare or other relevant organisation at a senior level

  • Exceptional management and leadership skills with proven ability to strategically manage and provide technical and policy advice at the highest levels

  • Experience in developing an effective culture of continuous improvement

  • Sound understanding of the Victorian public health system, including current and emerging best practice operations, quality systems and accreditation requirements

  • Experience in a key role in redevelopment projects

  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions in complex, fast paced environment

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and a relevant post graduate qualification

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
