GDIT's Military Health team is seeking a Sr. Program Analyst/ Writer to support the Traumatic Brain Injury Center of Excellence (TBI CoE) located at headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland.
TBICoE supports a network of military treatment facilities and Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers with traumatic brain injury research initiatives, including gap-driven analyses and Congressionally-directed programs .
TBICoE's extensive internal and external collaborations allow for clinical innovation and research along the continuum of care of TBI—from initial injury to acute and post-acute medical settings; rehabilitation; and ultimately a return to family, community, and work or continued duty.
Summary:
The Research Program Analyst will provide research analytic support within the HQ Research Section assisting in developing, researching, maintaining, and distributing environmental scans and literature reviews on areas such as ‘hot topics’ in TBI research or other TBI related research queries, emerging technology and blast research initiatives on a quarterly basis. S/he will assist in the management and facilitation of essential research information between HQ and stakeholders, provide background research, literature searches and information in the development of research related items such as: literature reviews, research reviews, Information Papers, EXSUMS, abstracts, presentations, manuscripts, podcasts, reports and responses to “taskers”, assists in the development of various research databases; participates in analysis and interpretation of data and with the preparation of technical reports, summaries and manuscripts, demonstrate clear understanding of clinical research procedures and methodologies and, develop and/or maintains professional relationships with other stakeholders of TBI- related research activities.
How You Will Make An Impact:
- Provides analytic support to the HQ Research Section.
- Provides input on operational procedures to increase efficiency, productivity and make overall improvements for the program.
- Assists in conducting in depth literature searches and reviews specific to TBI related topics with particular emphasis on emerging technology and developments in TBI clinical research. Provides concise written reports and summaries.
- Participates in the development of research abstracts, posters, presentations, reports, manuscripts.
- Attends and presents research findings at conferences and meetings as appropriate.
- Supports TBICoE’s TBI research studies that are in alignment with DoD’s identified TBI research gaps and priorities as well as ensuring compliance with all regulatory bodies.
- Develops and/or maintains professional relationships with other stakeholders.
- Prepares requests for actions/proposals to include assisting with grant proposal applications, their associated documentations, and requirements. Facilitates the flow and approval processes for relevant projects as needed or requested.
- Independently generates reports and briefings as requested by TBICoE leadership.
- Facilitates the collection of quality data from various studies or agencies.
- Coordinates meetings as needed, for example, with the Service POCs and other agencies for TBI.
- Works collaboratively with team members.
- The incumbent may assist in the development, reporting and analysis of study/ program performance with relevant metrics.
- Adhere to legal, professional, and ethical codes with respect to confidentiality and privacy.
- Assists in collection and summation of data for “taskers”.

What You’ll Need to Succeed (required):
- Master’s Degree.
- 5+ years of professional experience providing analytic support to senior scientists.
- Must be proficient with a multitude of Windows based, email and internet computer applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
