Position: Director of Business Development
Location: Preference given for candidates living near one of our US Locations. We have locations in Fairport, NY (corporate office); Williamsport, PA; Brooksville, FL; Plaistow, NH; Strongsville, OH; Watertown, SD; or Logan, UT.
Reports to the VP of Business Development.
About the Role: Assists in the development of a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting. Researches and analyzes current opportunities and seeks future business opportunities for the company. Works with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives.
What a Day Looks Like:
- Prospecting & Hunting: Consistently find new opportunities and new customers
- Screen and qualify new business opportunities via leads, contacts, relationships, industry networking.
- Establish new relationships with potential customers, and referral sources.
- Developing a qualified pipeline of sales opportunities.
- Working with the correct decision makers, where there is a business problem to solve and there is an implication to not solving the problem. Identify key decision makers and strategy to create introductions at an executive level.
- Targeting new OEM Tier 1 and Tier 2 Customers in the Aerospace & Defense, Medical Device & Life Sciences, and Industrial with ability to cultivate and close significant business deals and agreements of $10M or more.
The experience we’re looking for to add to the team:
- Bachelors Degree in Business or related field; 10+ years of relevant industry experience may work in lieu of a Bachelors Degree
- Proven track record of selling EMS, PCBA, SMT, & Full Product Integration including full finished product manufacturing into the Aerospace & Defense, Medical Device and Life Sciences, and Industrial market is required.
- 10+ years of experience in a new business development role within the EMS industry and ability to articulate your business wins.
- Experience with business development deals that include building full products for customers.
- Experience of working with multiple sites domestically and internationally.
- ITAR compliance is needed - all applicants must have US Citizenship or be Green Card holders, to be considered for this position.
- Knowledge of EMS related certifications such as ISO 9001, AS9100, 21-CFR820, FDA/QSR Registered Class I, II, and III, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO Class 8, RoHS and REACH, MDSAP, ANSI ESD S20.20, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620
