REPORTS TO: Director of STEM Program- Elementary
POSITION TYPE: 12-month
START DATE: Immediate
COMPENSATION $63,967 - $80,831, Home Office Grade 6 (Grant-funded through 2028)

THE OPPORTUNITY
YES Prep needs a dynamic Elementary Content Specialist – Math to make our mission a reality. As a YES Prep employee, you will achieve jaw-dropping results, create pathways to opportunity for our students, and build transformative relationships.
To put it simply, you will, you will be a member of a team of mathematics leaders who set the vision for Math courses across the system, write curriculum that aligns to that vision, provide exemplary instructional models, and develop teachers and instructional leaders to increase student achievement for all students. Specifically, you will drive achievement for our students in 4th-5th math courses by teaching one class section, creating aligned resources, and supporting teacher development in that course.
THE ROLE

Exemplary Teaching
- Modeling effective Mathematics teaching practices on a campus or campuses;
- Directly and positively impacting Mathematics student achievement;
- Developing, refining, and sharing best practices and curricular resources through regular application and reflection.
Curriculum and Resource Development
- Remaining up to date on Mathematics standards, pedagogy, and assessment methodology;
- Creating and managing creation of aligned, effective instructional resources for designated courses, setting a standard for rigorous and meaningful daily instruction designed to reach all learners, leading to strong system-wide academic results and support implementation of these resources;
- Working with the Elementary STEM Content Director to build strong vertical alignment across the content team that leads to Mathematics college-readiness;
