We are looking for a Technical Service Specialist to join our Coatings team in Vance, AL. (Onsite).
Travel Requirement: this individual will travel once a week to another location which is 10 miles away from Vance, AL.

As a Technical Service Specialist you will act as an onsite representative leading and coordinating all technical, purchasing, inventory, projects and reporting activities for their site, respondging to customer needs and complaints.

- Completing all work with a commitment & focus on following all aspects of the guiding principles of BASF Responsible Care.
- Collecting data and issues designated reports (i.e., Daily, monthly).
- Ensuring performance of the chemicals by recommending and implementing actions to improve productivity, increase effectiveness, and reduce costs.
- Responding to customer requests regarding products, projects, information, and other inquiries.
- Managing on site inventories and ensuring timely ordering of products to avoid negatively impacting production.
- Reviewing process performance with the customer and operators to improve efficiency, increasing effectiveness, and reducing cost.
- Developing, training, monitoring, and motivating operators, while playing a key role in meeting all chemical treatment program goals.
If you...
- Hold a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Engineering or related field (Preferred).
- Possess a solid understanding of the chemical process.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of technical experience. Holding a strong technical expertise regarding products, specifications, processes, operations, testing, and data collection.
- Have strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Count with strong analytical experience working in testing and technical evaluation.
- Possess strong inventory management/control and product ordering skills.
- Are able to build and strengthen relationships with customer's technical department.
- Possess excellent communication and time management skills and are highly organized and detail oriented.
