Operations Associate - Entitlements and Access Control

Summary
Under immediate supervision, the Operations Associate is responsible for maintaining and reviewing permissions within various software programs including but not limited to Thomson, Beta, eQuest, NetX360, DTCC, etc. Work is assigned and performed according to specified procedures. Employee has limited opportunity or authority to exercise discretion in work determinations; review occurs frequently of assignments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop a solid understanding of the various applications which the department controls, how various entitlements affect each other, and the importance of maintaining proper entitlements.
- Responsible for being the Subject Matter Expert of one or more applications.
- Perform day to day entitlement changes and updates – including but not limited to new hires, terminations, job duty changes, department changes, etc – according to the written procedures and guidelines.
- Communicate often with management and keeps management informed of major problems or difficulties in procedures and suggests possible solutions.
- Responsible for maintaining proper documentation and information on requests and updates made within the systems which the department controls.
- Preparation of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual review processes accurately as outlined in the procedures and guidelines.
- Research and analyze problems relating to entitlements changes and communicates issues with management.
- Proactively initiate, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with team members, management, vendors, and other departments.
Qualifications
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal; ability to interact effectively with team members as well as other departments and vendors.
- Able to set and adjust priorities, tasks, and deadlines based on direction from management.
- Demonstrates organization and attention to detail.
- Must be flexible.
- Willingness to assist others within the department or within other areas of the firm in regards to entitlements issues whenever required.
- Active Listening – Giving full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking appropriate questions and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Education & Experience
- Minimum Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum Required: 1+ years of industry experience.
Systems & Technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
